The
Prairie Ridge Cheese tradition of quality foods and friendly,
personal service began in 1934, when Swiss-born Walter Mueller
and his wife, Minnie, took over the operation of a cheese factory
between Mount Horeb and Verona, Wisconsin.
The
Muellers closed the factory in 1967, but they continued to sell
Wisconsin-made cheese from their store on the factory premises.
Walter worked until the age of 83 and passed away soon after his
retirement in 1988. Over the years, the Muellers dispensed many
kindnesses along with their cheese to friends and strangers alike.
Today
Andrea and Jim Mueller, along with their two sons, continue the
family tradition filling orders from loyal customers locally and
throughout the United States. As in years past, other family members
help out at busy times such as Christmas, selling and shipping
premium-quality cheeses and other Wisconsin-made products to customers
from Alaska to Florida.
As
always, sales are made with a smile, individual attention, and
a high regard for customer satisfaction. Whether you need gifts
for family and friends, or for corporate and business associates,
Prairie Ridge Cheese has the Wisconsin products to impress and
satisfy everyone.
