Free Gift Cards and Gift Packaging Available Prairie Ridge Cheese will include with your order a free gift card and/or gift packaging at your request. The gift cards are appropriate for holiday gifts, birthdays, anniversaries, thank-you gifts, etc. For gift packaging, a shipping box with a festive print is used, which is appropriate for holiday gifts. Just click the appropriate check boxes when placing your order, and be sure to include a message if you are requesting a gift card. Shipping Information All orders are promptly shipped as quickly as possible. If an order needs to be shipped on a particular date, please provide specific details in the comments section of the order form. All orders are shipped via UPS ground (usually 3-5 days),unless another, faster method is specified when ordering. Prairie Ridge Cheese ships to all destinations in the United States only. For special shipping arrangements (e.g. overnight, etc.) call 1-800-235-3268. During warm weather-usually mid April through September-, we STRONGLY recommend expedited shipping (e.g. UPS Next Day Air) and special packaging. (Otherwise your cheese might be cheese soup by the time it arrives.) We do use styrofoam boxes with frozen gel packs. Because of the cost of those items, we will add $6.00 for packaging. This amount may not be reflected on the confirmation order/invoice. Shipping and handling charges are based on the actual rate charged by the shipping company (e.g. UPS, USPS, etc.), plus a very small handling surcharge to cover the cost of packaging materials and other costs related to shipping and handling. Prairie Ridge Cheese does not believe in marking up prices with hidden shipping and handling charges like some online merchants do. Shipping rates are calculated automatically and displayed prior to order confirmation when ordering. We do not automatically ship backorders, or items not shipped with the original order. Please indicate in the comment section if you want to make sure your order is sent complete if we are out of something: to hold until we can ship the complete order. Cheeses sold by the pound may not be shipped in exactly one-pound packages; there is a little variance. This may cause a slight increase or decrease in the actual amount on the invoice. We try to keep the variance within 0.2 pounds to avoid large discrepancies between customers' expectations and the actual product received. Our cheeses are available in 1# and 2# packaging. Unless specified in the comment section, you will recieve the larger packages when ordering 2# or more of the same cheese.
